What I do now

I’m a strategic communications advisor working with policy, advocacy, and mission-driven organizations on major campaigns, report launches, and high-stakes interviews. I help them translate technical policy into public and political influence.

How I got here

Most recently, I was the communications manager at Clean Prosperity, a national climate policy organization, where I reported to the vice president of communications and advised the CEO directly. I led media and spokesperson work on the organization’s federal-Alberta climate and energy campaign, which drew more than 40 national and regional media stories in six months. I also built the organization’s media training program, training more than 10 researchers and executives as spokespeople.

Before that, I was a journalist and a Munk Fellow in global journalism at the University of Toronto. My work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, the National Post, CBC, and The Boston Globe, among others. Newsrooms taught me how editors decide what to cover, and I use that every time I pitch a story or prepare a spokesperson. From 2016 to 2024, I also wrote and edited for corporate and institutional clients.

I started in government as a policy analyst at Public Safety Canada and a research analyst at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, then joined the Business Council of Canada as a communications officer advising the CEO and executive team. I hold an MSc in international relations from the London School of Economics and a BA from the University of British Columbia.
